FIVE DAYS OF RIDING: EXPERIENCE THE BEAUTY AND HISTORY OF THE NEGEV. Our route will cover approximately 250 miles (400 km) over 5 days. Each day riders will also have an option for a shorter ride and to spend a part of the day exploring the wonderful sites along our route with an experienced guide. For more advanced riders, there will be optional add-ons and additional routes each day to offer a unique cycling challenge. THE TOUR WILL SUPPORT A WONDERFUL CAUSE. We will be riding to support Ramah’s special needs programs, which currently provide meaningful summer camp experiences for children, teens, and young adults with special needs.
REASONABLE COST & WORTHY FUNDRAISING. Riders pay a registration fee and commit to a minimum fundraising level in support of this great cause. Ramah covers all costs in Israel during the ride, including accommodations, excellent food, and full ride support. The only additional costs are your transportation expenses to fly to and from Israel and incidentals. Here are the details:
Registration Fee. The registration fee for the Ramah Israel Bike Ride is $900. (The actual cost per rider for the week-long trip is much higher, with the difference being subsidized by our fundraising efforts). Riders interested in booking single-occupancy rooms may do so as well for an extra $460.*
Fundraising Minimum. The minimum fundraising commitment for each rider is $3,600. (If you are under 30, an Israeli citizen, or a spouse of a rider, your fundraising minimum will be $2,000.) It will be rewarding to raise money for a great cause and it will be easier than you think; our Rider Homepage will guide you and help you to meet and exceed your fundraising goal.
The tour is GUIDED, SAFE & FULLY SUPPORTED. The Ramah Bike Ride is a fully supported ride, led by experienced guides. Safety and security are our top priorities. Our riders will also enjoy:
- Seven nights in hotels and kibbutz guest houses along our cycling route

RIDERS AT ALL LEVELS WON’T WANT TO MISS THIS.
This won’t be a competition; anyone with distance biking experience will find the routes to be challenging yet manageable. More advanced riders will have an opportunity to “go the extra mile.” So long as you’re in good health and willing to train before the tour, this ride is for you. While the ride is primarily aimed at adults and college age students, we welcome you to make this a “family experience” … as long as your kids are over 13 and have the stamina and cycling experience to enjoy the trip.
